Miles Mossop Wines Winemaker Masterclass Wednesday 31 May, 7pm
We’ve wanted Miles Mossop to do a winemaker tasting since pre-pandemic times so were delighted to be asked to host a tasting with him. Until May 2018 Miles was the winemaker at the high-profile Tokara estate in Stellenbosch, a position he had held since the farm started to make wine back in 2000. The reputation of Tokara wines, and the many awards he has won for them, is a testament to his success there
During his time there he had been making tiny amounts of wines under his own eponymous label which had garnered his own plaudits and awards Now completely independent Miles has become a bit of a star in South Africas' winemaking scene. His winemaking philosophy is simple; source grapes from exceptional vineyards all over the Western Cape, pick them at the correct time and help guide them through the natural process of winemaking to produce expressive, individual wines of the highest quality, wines that people enjoy drinking.
Miles will talk us through his wines including his flagship range of wines dedicated to his family and his Chapter range, each one unique from exceptional vineyards.
