Conte Collalto Conegliano e Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut San Salvatore
The Collalto family are one of the oldest winemaking enterprises in Italy, tracing their ownership of vineyards in the region to 958 AD! The estate today comprises 1500 hectares, 150 of which are under vine. 65 of these are planted solely for Prosecco. The vines (aged from 10 to 50 years) are planted on marl, clay and limestone, at altitudes ranging between 200 and 300m.
Their Prosecco does not owe its rich, full style to a high sugar content nor to the addition of ‘foreign’ varietals. Rather, their elegance derives from the Susegana hills on which Collalto Glera is grown. There are hints of ripe white peaches on the nose, and on the palate a delicious rounded, creamy texture.
Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.
