This Madeira is a blend of three separate wines, from different vintages, all originally made as experiments to further winemaker's Ricardo's understanding of this great, almost forgotten variety on the Island. All the wines came from more recent plantations near Sao Jorge on the North of the Island. In this Old Reserve blend, three wines were added, the first by skin maceration from the year 2010 and the other two by direct pressing from the years 2009 and 2011 that resulted in 2.139 bottles all numbered.
Floral notes, ripe citrus, yellow fruit jam, dried leaf and nuts. Slightly spicy fresh palate, with a vibrant and precise acidity. Smooth apricot flavor and a fresh and elegant finish.
