Chateau Siran has quietly gone about its business. Never seemingly wanting to conform. Indeed it could have gone into the 1855 classification but the then owners, the Toulouse-Lautrecs declined the invitation to be included in this “Bonapartist classification”. In recent years Édouard Miailhe, the current owner has invested heavily in improving the vineyards and cellar room and is now getting the recognition it deserves.
S de Siran is the second wine of Château Siran. S is produced through a careful process of selecting the best younger vines from the same gravel plateau as Château Siran. Its vinification method is similar, but its predominant Merlot blend lends it a charming quality .
Its a powerful wine with a lot of fresh fruit, great structure, with long length in the palate. All the complexity and the elegance one would expect expected from a Margaux.
