Luca Fedrigo started to work for Giuseppe Quintarelli at 17 years old which gave him the fabulous opportunity to work closely and side by side the great man himself. Some of the magic Quintarelli dust clearly was absorbed by Luca who set up L’Arco in Negrar, also home to Quintarelli. Like his mentor Fedrigo is more than happy to experiment and not play by the rules believing he can get better wines with more of an open mind.
We've stocked L'Arco's wines for year or two and were very pleased to be recently offered an allocation of his sought-after Amarone.
His Amarone is lush and complex but surprisingly fresh with aromas of prunes and forest floor, accompanied by notes of tar, smoke, exotic spices, and subtle hints of dried herbs. The palate boasts a richness, complexity, and layering that is expertly balanced by lively acidity and succulent black fruit, culminating in a long and welcoming finish.
