Bela is part of the CVNE portfolio of wineries and was established in 2019 in Villalba del Duero, Burgos. The winery pays tribute to one of the ancestors of the CVNE family, Sofia, daughter of one of the winery's co-founders in 1879, affectionately known as Bela within the family.
100% Tempranillo grapes are sourced from 25-year-old vineyards in Moradillo de Roa in Ribera del Duoro. At 1,000 meters above sea level, these vineyards feature stony soils with abundant pebbles that aid ripening in such an extreme altitude and climate. Grapes are fermented in stainless tanks. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 15 months in French oak barrels.
The wine has intense aromas of fresh black fruit and white flowers, and is well-balanced with hints of spice, toast, and balsamic. Silky tannins, roundness, and a long, intense finish. Perfectly pairs with a variety of dishes, including stews, rice, fish, and meats.
