As you would expect from Vergelegen their Reserve Cabernet is a wine of controlled power and fine concentration. Tar-dipped blackcurrants dominate the nose and palate, but there's an intriguing vein of herbs and minerals here too. Just delicious now - as is befitting with its maturity - but with a few years left in it yet.
