A F Gros is one of the elite Burgundy houses of the Cotes de Nuits. His incursion into Beaujolais and particular Moulin a Vent has bought a bit of Burgundian magic and winemaking to the humble Gamay grape. No carbonic maceration; instead made like traditional red Burgundy and aged in large oak foudres for one year.
This is an elegant wine with delicate and juicy red fruit, plum and black pepper. Lively and vibrant with good acidity. Gentle tannins help give finesse, structure, and depth. A very fine Beaujolais indeed!
