This is an ancient Tuscan wine which is mentioned as far back as 790AD and is a blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose there is bright red fruit and a hint of savoury earthiness. A rich concentrated wine with supple plum and soft spice notes.
