Lafon Rochet in the south of St.Estephe is near neighbours with Lafite Rotshchild and Cos d’Estournel. It has a reputation of making solidly reliable red Bordeaux and has followed the trend in St.Estephe for bigger and bolder wines.
The wine itself is dry and has concentrated aromas of cassis and chocolate with notes of leather, pepper and graphite. On the palate it has a round mouthfeel and is medium bodied, well balanced with firm tannins and a savoury finish.
