2019 Vins Del Comtat, Santa Bárbara de Alicante

Vins Del Comtat was founded in 1997 and is located in Concentaina, in Alicante’s El Comtat region. The wine is a blend of 75% Monastrell  and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon rom different plots at altitudes around 650 metres. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines, come from Vins del Comtat’s own vineyard and average over 30 years old. The wine spends 4 months in oak barrels and has a minimum of 6 months in bottle before release.

This mature red wine boasts notes of blueberries and blackberries on the nose, with a palate full of intense fruit flavors and hints of vanilla and coconut. The wine also has a pleasant acidity that brings freshness and leads to a long, warm finish.
