Winemaker Christophe has been farming biodynamically since 1999 and believes in minimal intervention thus allowing the soil to express the minerality of each terroir. His wife Yuka, a talented Japanese chef also runs the Domaine with Christophe.
The "Estate Libre" Pinot Noir was crafted with a focus on producing wines that are as close to their natural state as possible. Only a minimal amount of sulphites are added a day before bottling, which demands precise and rigorous monitoring from the winemaker. The wine is unfiltered but clarified.
The nose is highly expressive and rich, filled with aromas of red fruit. The palate is well balanced, characterized by tannins that are already well integrated and a typical "Alsatian" freshness.
Serve at room temperature and decant beforehand. A pleasurable wine best enjoyed without delay.
