In 1977, Yannick Amirault created his own Domaine with 3.9 hectares of the Malgagnes vineyard. He was later joined by his son Benoit and together, they have expanded the Domaine to 20 hectares. The Domaine is certified organic.
The Cotes 50 vineyards are situated 50m above the Loire river, are 35 years old on average and are planted on a gravel terrace. After fermentation the wine spends 7 to 12 months in oak vats and sandstone eggs.
Cote 50 is the most popular Bourgueil of the estate, an easy-to-drink style with a delightful nose.
