Gašper is situated in Goriška Brda, encompassing two-thirds of Collio that extends into Slovenia from Friuli Venezia Giulia in northeastern Italy. Goriška Brda boasts an ideal climate for viticulture, benefiting from its proximity to both the Adriatic Sea and the Alps. This combination results in dry, warm summers accompanied by cooling breezes during the crucial ripening period. Leading the cellar is Darinko Ribolica, a respected oenologist native to the region. For the white wines, he utilizes local Slovenian varieties to craft wines in a modern, fresh style.
The Chardonnay /Rebula blend is characterised by clean flavours with a fresh and fruity nose displaying hints of green apple, pear, peach and citrus. The palate is crisp and rounded with a silky texture.
