This wine comes from heavier clay soils; the resultant berries carry a deeper, more brooding character displaying layered, textured truffle savouriness and earthy forest floor interwoven with concentrated black cherry compote supported by mineral tannin. Pairs well with duck, mushroom risotto, boeuf bourguignon, lamb, coq au vin and venison.
