Château Tour du Cauze is situated east of the Saint Emilion plateau, and was constructed in the 19th century over the remains of a ruined medieval castle. The property has been under the ownership of the Laporte family since 1986, who are also proprietors of the nearby Château Cauze, another Grand Cru vineyard.
The great value wine is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, showcasing velvety tannins and a remarkable blend of redcurrant, blackberry, and spicy flavours. Its full-bodied palate is enhanced with a delicate hint of oak, providing depth and structure that lingers in the form of a black cherry and coffee finish.
Will go well with Sunday roasts and game dishes
