Ceritas, Healdsburg
The West Sonoma Coast is a rugged wild landscape where rocky cliff faces intermingle with hillside vineyards overlooking the shimmering aquamarine Pacific Ocean. A true maritime climate, cooling sea breezes and morning fogs all help add that crispness to the wine it produces.
Ceritas don’t own any vineyards but source their fruit along the Sonoma Coast and westernmost Russian River Valley and are carefully chosen for their winegrowing merits and also for their singularity. They use bio-dynamically farmed grapes where ever possible.
Elliott vineyard was planted in 1981 with the Mount Eden clone of Pinot Noir. It has an incredible aspect and perches on the boundary of Hirsch Vineyard and produces wonderfully delicate Pinot.
As is the way with a lot of Californian wines these are normally only available through Ceritas’ mailing list so we are very lucky to have them on our shelves.
