“Vertente” means “aspect” or “hillside” and most of the grapes come from old vineyards aged between 30 and 60 year old from Quinta de Nápoles and Vale do Pinhão. The resulting wine then spends 22 months in French oak barrels and is excellent value and a great introduction the the awesome range of Niepoort.
