2019 Domaine Alain Michelot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru La Richemone

Founded in 1880, the Domaine boasts a total of 20 acres of vineyards, primarily situated on the slopes above Nuits St Georges. The vineyards for this particular wine, the Nuits 1er Cru 'la Richemone', are planted on limestone and red marl soil next to the Vosne Romanee appellation, with Pinot Noir vines over 30 years old. This results in a wine with bold cassis, blueberry, and cherry notes, accompanied by a rich and deep palate. The wine has a substantial weight, pure fruit flavours, and smooth tannins.
