2023 Miano Bianco Friuli Colli Orientali

Enzo Pontoni, winemaker extraordinaire, of Miani has a penchant for perfectionism. He works quietly and tirelessly in his tiny plots of vineyards in the Colli Orientali DOC and is recognised as one of Italy’s premier winemakers. His white wines have become absolute cult wines owing to a remarkable depth of flavour and concentrated texture, though they are never heavy or unbalanced.

Utilizing organically-farmed vineyards. Grapes carefully hand-harvested. Fermented with a blend of native and selected yeasts in premium French oak barrels. Aged for 8 months in French oak, then for an additional 6 months in bottle before being released. Made from Chardonnay, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla.
