One of Frances most little known appellations Pacherenc diu Vic-Bihl interlinks with it's better known red wine cousin Madiran. Winemaker Alain Brumont has been experimenting with the affect of barrel maturing for the past 20 years. This delightful dry white wine has certainly benefitted from his treatment. The wine is aged on its lees for between 14- 15 months in 600l demi-muids made with oak staves of over 4cm in thickness! This thickness reduces the impact of the oak on the wine with a resulting mellow woodiness that integrates well and allows the aromas and flavours of Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng to shine through. This is a stunning wine with great minerality.
