This collaboration between Mossburn and the Dupont family, renowned Calvados producers in Normandy's Pays d'Auge since 1887, is the second installment in the Collaboration series. The Single Malts used in this blend were carefully selected from four Speyside distilleries and aged for 12 years in refill American oak casks. They were then blended together and re-aged in French oak barrels that previously held Calvados, the apple brandy of the Normandy region.
The result is a subtle undertone of apple sweetness that perfectly complements the whisky's heathery cereal notes, while the light ginger and spice from the oak adds an extra layer of complexity.
