2017 Tentenublo Escondite del Ardacho Single Vineyard 'Veriquete' Rioja

Roberto Oliván is the force behind Tentenublo and he produces exquisite, hand crafted wines from high altitude plots with individual personality. The Veriquete vineyard is a half hectare plot and is situated 600m up in the Sierra Cantabria Hills. A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Viura and Malvasia from vines that are between 50-100 years old. It has an intense aroma of damson, blueberry, raspberry and violets, deeply fruity on the palate with firm tannins and a lovely kick of acidity which adds balance.
