Made up of predominantly Grenache with a touch of Mourvedre, this intense and generous red hails from Vacqueyras which was the second Cote du Rhone villages to be upgraded to full AOP status in 1990. Its wines are often referred to as being like siblings of Chateauneuf du Pape with its rich black fruit and white pepper characters. Packed with black fruit and spice, its silky tannins and fresh acidity provide a great example of good value Rhone wines.
