2022 Gaja IDDA Etna Bianco

An exciting and very limited production white from the slopes of Mount Etna. IDDA is a collaboration between Alberto Graci and the renowned Angelo Gaja. IDDA means 'SHE' in the Sicilian dialect and is the respectful and affectionate name Mount Etna is referred to. Made with 100% indigenous Siciian grape variety Carricante

On the nose there are nuances of tomato leaves, sage, melon, and quince. Notes of honey and hay emerge, while a subtle aroma of yeast and dough wafts from the glass. The palate is both rich and firm, with yellow plum and pineapple adding depth to the palate, complemented by a smooth acidity. The finish is clean and savoury, imbued with mineral notes.
