The Chiarli family are legends in Emilia-Romagna, they set up the first wine company in Emila Romagna back in 1860. Cleto Chiarli set it up after his homemade Lambrusco went down so well in his restaurant in Modena.
Their Lambrusco di Sorbara “Vecchia Modena” goes through a light maceration followed by a slow fermentation with selected yeasts in sealed stainless-steel tanks. The sparkling wine is then kept at low temperatures and aged for almost three months. The wine has a deep rosé colour, with aromas of strawberry and brushwood. On the palate it is fresh and minerally
