Andrea Franchetti was a trail blazer in Tuscany (indeed Italy). He set out with to make wine from Tenuta di Trinoro back in 1992 and it has achieved so much since then and is now one of the cult wines of Italy. Technically a Super Tuscan! Andrea planted his vines in a valley sparse of any other vineyards, and he choose Bordeaux grape varieties. A 600-metre high Monte Amiata protects Tenuta di Trinoro vines and it allows for late picking.
Bianco di Trinoro Blanco is made from 100% Semillon and planted in a tiny vineyard plot at the highest level on Tenuta di Trinoro. Its full bodied and really aromatic with great mouthfeel and weight. It has classic zippy acidity suggesting the wine will age well.
