2023 Meroi Chardonnay Friuli Colli Orientali

Meroi is a family-operated winery based in Buttrio, situated in the Friuli Colli Orientali region of Italy. Founded in 1920 by Domenico Meroi, the estate covers 19 hectares and produces around 35,000 bottles per year.

Renowned for their elegance and richness, Meroi wines are often characterized as being both rich and well-structured, with a vibrant acidity that enhances their full-bodied texture.

This Chardonnay is aged for 8months in a combination of new and used barriques to aid complexity. On the nose there are enticing  scents of citrus zest, banana, and nuts. Solid and supple structure, featuring mature acidity and fresh herbal undertones that enhance the sweet citrus and oak flavours. The finish is long and precise.
