Château de la Négly is in the village of Fleury d’Aude in the region known as La Clape. Owner Jean Paux-Rosset and oenologist Claude Gros produce superb wines from low yielding, hand-picked fruit. Vines are planted on limestone soils in sight of the Mediterranean and benefit from cooling sea breezes that moderate the ripening of the grapes.
La Brise Marine is a blend of 70% Bourbelenc and 30% Rousanne. Bourbelenc is fermented in stainless steel and spends six months on its fine lees whilst the Roussanne is vinified in oak barriques. The resulting wine has a wonderful vivacity and freshness. Aromas of white peach, mango, grapefruit and almonds on the nose. The palate lively and generous with mineral notes.
