Quinta do Vale Meao 10 Year Tawny Port

Quinta do Vale Meao may well be better known for their Douro wines but they do make Port as well. It takes a while to build up enough reserves to be able to release a 10 year old Tawny Port but now that they have what a brilliant wine it is!. They age this in their quinta which is unusal as most Ports are aged in Vila Nova de Gaia which is a lot cooler than up in the Douro Superior. This warmer ageing gives a more developed shine to the Port.
