Established in 1990, Royal Tokaji's goal was torevive the wines of one of history's most renowned regions. With 108 hectares of vineyards, 57 hectares are situated in three First Growths - Szt. Tamás, Nyulászó, Betsek - and in one Great First Growth of Mézes Mály. Their 14th Century cellars are the perfect environment for their age worthy wines and looking to the future a new, state-of-the-art winery was built in 2010. Their wines have received over 100 international awards and are highly acclaimed worldwide.
The highest quality Aszú berries (raisined grapes affected by noble rot) chosen for their excellent flavour, balance, and botrytis levelsr were soaked in fermenting must for two days. After pressing and completing fermentation, the wines were transferred to 300- and 500-litre Hungarian oak barrels and aged in Royal Tokaji's deep underground cellars for over two years. The final wine was skillfully blended in the spring of 2020.
The resulting wine has intense aromas bursting with fruitiness and spice. The palate offers excellent structure and vibrant freshness, with flavours of white peach and ripe plums. It achieves a perfect balance of richness, crisp acidity, and a long, satisfying finish.
Serve chilled. Excellent with aromatic Asian foods, spicy meats and blue cheese.
