The Brut 1682 Chardonnay is a blanc de blanc and made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from the Western Cape. It is made in the traditional French double fermentation method and as such is designated a South African Cap Classique.
Pale lemon in colour it exudes freshness and pure fruit on the nose with vibrant notes of green apple, candied lemon rind and white peach. There is a liveliness on the palate, with a delicate mousse and a crisp acidity. Flavours of lemon, honeyed nectarines, toasted croissant and pistachio are all present. The finish is long and refreshing.
