Henri Giraud Champagne never disappoints. Described by Robert Parker as "the finest Champagne house virtually no one has ever heard of. This extraordinary champagne is composed from a blend of 70% of the superb 2013 harvest, and 30% from the perpetual reserve, with 70% Pinots Noirs and 30% Chardonnays from Grand Cru vineyards around the hills of Aÿ. 20% matured for 12 months in new wood. The wine is aged in its bottle for a further 5 years. Delicate notes of fresh cut flowers joined by elegantly toasted, smoky, woody accents. It's a wine very much marked by the house style.
