2012 Fratelli Berlucchi Franciacorta Brut 'Freccianera' 2012

Fratelli Berlucchi is run by the current generation of the Berlucchi family, five brothers. Their wines are made from estate fruit and aged in their ancient frescoed cellars, parts of which date back to the 12th century. The Freccianera is aged for approximately 5 years on lees before disgorgement. Impressively fresh and vibrant, with green apple and citrus, backed up by richer flavours of honey, almond, toast and baked apple. It has a creamy character in the mouth and a long, ripe finish, well balanced by the acidity. This would pair well with food and has potential to age well.
