2018 El Coto 875m Chardonnay Rioja

An unusual white from the highest-altitude vineyard in Rioja. Fans of traditional white Rioja might recoil at the idea of a 100% Chardonnay. This wine is fresh and succulent and displays citrus, peach and tropical aromas alongside delicate notes of vanilla and brioche. On the palate, ripe stone fruit notes are supported by hazelnut and vanilla flavours, which are complemented by a creaminess from the bâtonnage.
