A hearty wine indeed but something of a bargain. Full-bodied and rich due to the Tannat presence here, but the density is nicely broken up with the addition of Merlot that gives the wine a lovely supple feel that allows the tar-coated, violet-scented berry notes to shine. Great with sausages we find!
