La Compañía is named after a Jesuit convent built back in 1630, which was rebuilt in 1717 50 years before Carlos III expelled the Jesuits from all Spanish territories. Barbadillo bought the church in 1942 and has used it for oxidative ageing since then.
This is en Rama so a less filtered version, so offering more body richness and complexity can be best enjoyed when slightly chilled.
