Marques de Riscal's Gran Reserva is made from carefully selected Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes from 80-year-old vines and undergoes a two and a half year ageing process in French oak barrels. It is then aged for an additional three years in the bottle before being released. Its deep black-cherry colour is nearly opaque and presents an elegant and complex nose, featuring notes of black fruit and an abundance of spice. On the palate, it is smooth and round with firm yet silky tannins that provide a touch of sweetness and encompass the entire palate. The finish is long, refreshing, and well-balanced with a subtle presence of elegant tannins.
