The Fossacolle estate is located in the south of Montalcino and covers four hectares of vineyards, of which 2.5 are destined for Brunello. The estate is situated in Tavernelle to the north of Argiano and to the west of Pieve di Santa Restituta. Winemaker Adriano Bambagioni has produced wines that have won numerous accolades over the years. Adriano learned his trade during the 10 years that he worked with Giacomo Tachis, the oenologist responsible for producing the first Super Tuscan wines which comes across in his Brunello.
A wonderfully complex wine with aromas of ripe red berries and blood orange. on the palate, there is a rich core of fruit and spicy notes. Tannins are silky and persistent. A great wine and superbly balanced. Great potential for bottle ageing.
