2017 7 Fuentes Tenerife

This is a very exciting wine from Tenerife. It is made from the local grape, Listan Negro from a hundred year old vineyard from which the wine takes its name. It is aged in 500 litre oak casks for 11 months. Obviously, being from Tenerife the soil is very volcanic and minerally, and you can taste it in the wine which is very characterful. It is fresh and vibrant, displaying bright savoury aromas and complex bouquet of dark berry, herbal, olives, earth, smoke and ashy notes.
